Fall 2010: vacant – searching
You are the man or woman, as the case may be. What you say is law, just don’t let it go to your head (see Philippians 2 and think about Jesus).
You are responsible for overseeing the Connections meeting. Essentially, your only responsibility is to make sure things go smoothly, which means everybody knows what they’re doing at least one week ahead of time. If you like telling people what to do, this job may be for you (I kid…kinda).
You will coordinate with Johnny to plan the overarching theme(s) for the Connections meetings. You are then responsible for communicating this information to the following groups/people at least one week ahead of time:
+Set-up team: let them know if the room needs to be decorated or organized in any special way.
+ Coldwater: let Coldwater’s leader know the series themes as soon as you know them. This will aid in selecting songs.
+ Emcee: knowing the content for the night may help the emcee develop an icebreaker or introduction.
+ Speaker: you or Johnny will communicate with the speaker to help him/her understand what is expected of him/her, especially in regard to the speaker’s role in moving us through the teaching series.
+ Drama/Video team: provide them with the themes for the 3-4 week content series as soon as you know them. This will give the Drama/Video team sufficient time to develop content for those series, since drama and video are time-consuming endeavors.
If you like, you can also help the above groups/people develop content for the meetings (however, they are ultimately responsible for the content you already do a lot for us). This job will take time, but the end result is worth it.
You are a valuable part of the team. Thanks for all the hard work you do to help us add some structure to the ways we connect with God!
