Fall 2010: vacant

“Missional” is becoming a buzzword among most Christians.  If you’ve never heard of “missional living,” it essentially means living like Jesus.  And Jesus lived a life that was acutely aware of the needy people surrounding Him.

Therefore, you are responsible for helping people identify needs and mobilizing New Life to meet them.  Talk to people.  Ask them about the people in their lives.  Help them see the needs around them, and ask God to open their eyes and your eyes.  It helps to remember that God has specific purposes, and He does not want us to meet every need in existence.  Therefore, ask Him to guide you in this endeavor.

Corporately, New Life should meet at least one need per month.  That may seem like a lot, but you don’t have to do this all on your own.  A member of the catalyst team or staff will meet with you regularly to help, but you will be the man/woman who is ultimately responsible for organizing people, gathering supplies, and/or delegating responsibilities to help meet the identified monthly need.

In all actuality, missional living is simple.  See a need, meet a need.  It’s what Jesus did.  When we live this way, we help others meet the God who meets our needs.  Thanks for your willingness to help!
