TUESDAY- 10.23.07- Connections… this week we’ll wrap up our series on Go M.A.D. (Make A Difference) with a wrap up on this year’s Honduras Teams. Find out how you can be involved in reaching out around the world in a specific way.  

WEDNESDAY- 10.17.07- The weekly HUB lunch will take place from around noon till 1 p.m. Look for everyone at tables near Barney’s convenience store or near the fish tanks!

SERVICE SATURDAY- This weekend there will be another opportunity to serve at Centre Peace on Saturday morning. Contact Michelle Welliver (mlz136) for details!

 *** New Life Fall Fiesta –  Friday, Oct. 26 – 7 -11 (or so…) at the barn at Harvest Fields. We’ll have music, games (Pumpkin Bowling), pumpkins to carve, food, and a bonfire to celebrate a great fall and we’ll use the night to cap off our series on Loving the World. We’re asking for a suggested donation of $10 to go toward Honduras 08.*** Invite EVERYONE you can think of!

A FEW EVENTS IN THE NEAR FUTURE

Jeans for Teens 2007 –   The event will be held on Sunday, November 4 with times varying depending on which position you sign up for.  I have attached a volunteer flyer explaining the positions and their responsibilities, a volunteer form to sign up with, and a sponsorship flyer incase you want to volunteer but simply can’t make the date.  I’d appreciate it if you could have the completed volunteer sign-up forms emailed to me at intern@ccunitedway.org by October 28–as this is the day of our brief training session for shopping buddies.  Thanks again for your interest!

Faith For Thought – Saturday, Nov. 10 @ Calvary Baptist – A one-day conference for students who want to connect real faith with real life. The conference will go from 9 AM – 4:30 PM and details are available on their website at faith4thought.org.

SENIORS:

Senior EXIT will be hosting a One Day retreat at Harvest Fields on Sunday, Nov. 4 from 9 – 4. We will cover a ton of helpful topics to help you make a great transition to community life after college. Signups are at Connections, or you can let Johnny know if you plan to be there.
