TUESDAY- 10.16.07- We will have a short meeting next Tuesday night after Connections for anyone interested in serving on a Honduras team to take leadership in developing our strategy in our key ministry areas – Education, Water Development, Public Health, Economic development, and spiritual growth/development.

WEDNESDAY- 10.17.07- The weekly HUB lunch will take place from around noon till 1 p.m. Look for everyone at tables near Barney’s convenience store or near the fish tanks!

THURSDAY- 10.18.07- Some folks will be meeting in the HUB around 12:15 p.m. to pray for about half an hour. Look for New Lifers near the aquarium.

FRIDAY- 10.19.07- Now that the parade is over, Ultimate Frisbee is back! Everyone is meeting behind the IM Building at 4:30 p.m. to play!

SERVICE SATURDAY- This weekend and on the 27th, there will be opportunities to serve at the State College Food Bank and at Centre Peace.

**Mark your calendars for Friday, Oct. 26 – 7 -11 (or so…) for a New Life Fall Fling at the barn at Harvest Fields. We’ll have music, games, pumpkins to carve, food, and a bonfire to celebrate a great fall and we’ll use the night to cap off our series on Loving the World. We’re asking for a suggested donation of $10 to go toward Honduras 08.** Invite EVERYONE you can think of!

Jeans for Teens 2007 – The event will be held on Sunday, November 4 with times varying depending on which position you sign up for. I have attached a volunteer flyer explaining the positions and their responsibilities, a volunteer form to sign up with, and a sponsorship flyer incase you want to volunteer but simply can’t make the date. I’d appreciate it if you could have the completed volunteer sign-up forms emailed to me at intern@ccunitedway.org by October 28–as this is the day of our brief training session for shopping buddies. Senior EXIT will be hosting a One Day retreat at Harvest Fields on Sunday, Nov. 4 from 9 – 4. We will cover a ton of helpful topics to help you make a great transition to community life after college. Signups are at Connections, or you can let Johnny know if you plan to be there.
