What’s Happening This Week In New Life!

Connections: Same Time (7:30 PM) in same place – the Garden Room in the Spiritual Center. This week we will take a look at 4 Ways To Experience God.

Two:forty:two groups
These are our small group opportunities. Taken from Acts 2:42 where it says “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, to fellowship, and to the breaking of bread and prayer.” The intent is that these groups are more than Bible studies, but are communities who do life together. If you are not already involved in one, here are some opportunities for you…

17th Annual Ponserosa Christmas Party: Friday Night, Dec. 15. 7 PM – Rides leaving from the Pollock Library at 6:45. Bring out the friends for the annual end-of-the-semester sugar-fest and fun night at the Pons house.

Coming Next Semester…

Leadership Advance: January 11 – 13 – This is a great opportunity for discovery and
development of your God-given strengths and abilities and how we use those working together as a team. The “Advance” will take place at Calvary Baptist Church here in State College, and the cost is $89. Sign up at Connections tomorrow night, and more information will also be available there.

InCounter ’07: Our annual state-wide retreat will be taking place on February 16 – 18. This year’s theme will be Psalms In The Key Of Life. Charlie Hall & Band will be with us on Saturday and Sunday to lead us in worship. We will return to Camp Joy-El for the weekend, and this year’s cost will be $70. As always, don’t let $$ be the deciding factor on whether you go. Let Johnny know if you need some help! Sign-ups will also begin this week at Connections.

Honduras 07 Applications are now available. This year the trip will run May 20 – May 31, and will cost somewhere around $1200 again.

The Journey Group: This is New Life’s basic Discipleship group. We use a notebook, creatively called The Journey notebook, and the cost for the notebook is $10. We will meet on Wednesday nights from 8:30 – 10 PM in the Spiritual Center. The group will begin the second week of class in the spring.
